Fiona Apple Confesses Touring "Freaks Me Out"

Fiona Apple will be spending her summer on the road with Jewel, the Cardigans, Sheryl Crow, Paula Cole, and others on the Lilith Fair tour, but she's not as excited about it as you might think. The 19-year-old songstress took a break from taping an upcoming episode of "Unplugged" in New York recently to tell MTV News about her hesitation to head out on tour. "When I know that I have to take a trip and go someplace, and I don't know what my day-to-day life is going to be like, that's what freaks me out," Apple told MTV News.   "I'm a little bit of a control freak, and I have my own little rituals and everything, and when I'm thrown off into, you know, the big wide open, it's like, ugghhhh." Well, like it or not, she'll be heading out with the Wallflowers for three dates before hooking up with the Lilith Fair tour.  fin «
