Hmmm... where to start?  I am a moderately depressed individual who is  bitter about both his own tedious existence and the horrific condition of global society in general.  I am always searching for solace, something to dull my pain and maybe even give me a bit of happiness.  In Fiona Apple's music I find refuge.  Not only do I temporarily forget all that is troubling  on this planet and in my own life, but I actually feel much better all around.  Everything about her music -- from her lyrics, to her instrumentals, to her voice --  is inspired.  It permeates every part of my soul and fills me with hope and serenity.  When listening to her music, I feel a deep personal connection to her that I feel only with my very closest friends.  Just as I feel better by just being around my best friends, I feel better by listening to Fiona.  I feel as if she is my friend -- that I have a personal relationship with her because she pours out her genuine deepest feelings in her songs.
It would be the bomb to meet her and to actually be her friend, but that'll probably never happen.  Anyways, I think she rocks and am so grateful for  her for helping make my life somewhat more liveable.
